B.E.S.T.I.E.E Project for LGBTQ+ Youth

This project works to improve mental health supports and outcomes for LGBTQIA+ youth across all of Western Pennsylvania. We have staff located in Allegheny, Beaver, Erie and Washington counties to provide direct programming, screening, and referrals for youth.

In addition to programming, we offer AFFIRM – a CBT based support group – to help youth tap into their own resiliency, connect to peers, and gain support in navigating their lived environments.

This project is driven by youth voice and feedback. We offer paid opportunities for youth to join our Youth Advisory Board to provide invaluable feedback, create and guide programming, and increase their own leadership capacity.

We’re working with local community partners to assure all LGBTQ+ youth across the Western Pennsylvania region have access to support! Our program partners include Compton’s Table in Erie and the Washington County GSA.
