Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation’s legal aid program was created to provide free, need-based civil legal aid services specifically tailored to the LGBTQ+ community in Southwestern Pennsylvania. We provide in-house assistance for cases involving identity document support, public benefits counseling, housing support, and civil expungement of criminal records. For cases outside our service areas, we also assist in connecting low-income LGBTQ+ and HIV+ people with free or discounted legal aid and other support services.
This program is possible thanks to the generous support of the Henry L. Hillman Foundation. Primary Pro Bono Endorsement from the National Legal Aid & Defender Association.
