Legal Services

Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation’s legal aid program was created to provide free, need-based civil legal aid services for LGBTQ+ and HIV community members in Southwestern Pennsylvania. We provide in-house assistance for cases involving identity document support, public benefits counseling, housing support, and civil expungement of criminal records.

We also assist in connecting people with free or discounted legal aid and other support services. We are unable to take any cases involving criminal law.

With the current political climate and legislative efforts across the nation, we are experiencing a significant increase in requests for support. If you’d like to get involved or help to support this work, please reach out to us!

We are currently experiencing a high volume of name change requests. If you are seeking a name change, our processing times are longer than usual. We may need to utilize a waitlist. If you would like information on other name change services or referral options, please contact us at: info@hughlane.org

Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation welcomes community feedback. You can make a comment via email to info@hughlane.org, or by mail to Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation 925 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
